SO... I went to the book store and picked up "Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" which is basically "The String of Pearls- A Romance" all prettied up in paper back wiv Johnny!Sweeney's face on the cover. But other than that, it's the original story of Sweeney Todd. I got really excited when I found it ever since I heard that another artist here on DA was turning it into an Anthromorphic graphic-novel-comic-ma-thinger... Anyway.
I thought I'd do some concept sketches from String of Pearls. Sweeney Todd is described as crazy-looking, with wild hair and big hands and a squint in his eye. Mrs. Lovett was describe as young and pretty and buxom. And little Toby... poor Tobias Ragg is Mr. Todd's apprentice and he gets beat around a lot. XD The little scene in the corner is when Toby comes busting in the door claiming Todd didn't give him any money go on on his errand and Todd got all defensive.
Huzzah! Thanks! <3 Although yours is much more creative and amazing. 8D
